Ana Luiza Valadares is an accomplished executive and attorney with 25 years of experience shaping technology policy and regulation across Latin America’s most dynamic digital sectors. She specializes in bridging the gap between innovation and public policy, translating complex technical challenges into regulatory solutions that foster business growth while safeguarding the public interest.
Currently, she serves as the Director of Public Policy for AI Infrastructure & Connectivity in Latin America at Meta. Since 2016, Ana has led Meta’s infrastructure and hardware policy strategy across the region, advancing AI-enabled digital experiences and connectivity initiatives. Her work sits at the intersection of technology and governance, collaborating with cross-functional teams in engineering, partnerships, legal, and communications to develop strategies that drive regional development.
In addition to her role at Meta, Ana is the Chair of the Board of Directors for Dig.ia (Alliance for Digital Infrastructure & Open Internet), where she provides strategic leadership to Brazil’s hyperscale’s and digital infrastructure industry association.
A dedicated advocate for digital inclusion, she works directly with government officials, regulatory agencies, multilateral organizations, and academic institutions to foster a responsible technological ecosystem.
