Wil Tirado is the Global VP of Carrier Engagement & Strategy at EdgeConneX where he created and led several key departments including Construction Program Management, Engineering and Service Delivery after joining in 2013 to build their first data center. He has held technical leadership positions in the telecom sector for over 30 years at Verizon, XO Communications, FiberTower and Apcela. His broad industry experience in hyper growth companies in emerging industry sectors enabled Wil to grow the business from concept to a global portfolio. In his previous role at low latency connectivity pioneer Apcela serving the financial industry he was a customer of most major data center operators in the US and Europe, giving him a customer-centric perspective when joining EdgeConneX, a data center design, build and operations company. Wil holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and MBA from Babson College along with completing coursework in leadership at the University of Virginia and the Babson College Executive Conference Center.
